EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing):
Discovered by Dr. Francine Shapiro, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is a form of psychotherapy that can be used to support trauma processing. It is a researched tool that can aid in building a connection to self, memories, and emotions that can be fragmented as a result of a traumatic occurrence or adverse life experiences.
Through assessment and a thorough history-taking process, we will collaborate to determine how and when to use EMDR in your treatment. In addition, work towards building the resources to support you in engaging with the tool.
